From Mother to Daughter: Take Me Places

You hold my hand tighter than anyone else.

So tight that it made me realise

That you were the little one who had the expertise

To heal the battered and the broken me

The old me I thought I could never be

Before you came and took me in your fold

I used to cry and cry

To escape from all of those fiends

All the pain, all the disappointments; painful flashbacks.

Forever so that I won't be sad ever again

Going with you(in the car) as you sit holding my hands

I look outside as the trees pass by

A thousand memories with you come flashing by

Each one, adding a sparkle to my otherwise dim eyes,

Each one as pure as the dew drops in the sky

She takes me places; yes she does

Into the world which can never be mine

But still gives me the portal to that world

Such that my heart unites with my mind

For once in my life.

I could see dew drops again not my tears

Those salty sad things that flow down my face

Seem nonexistent when she comes by

Looks into my eyes and takes me in

Into the world full of her fantasies

Far away from the reality which butchers me

But how long will she be (with me)

Forever please" my heart yearns

But time is a magical thing

People fade away; but not memories

The golden memories just don't stop rushing back in

Just as I let that butterfly(golden) fly away

With that salty things in my eyes I felt I would fade away

But a goodbye isn't the end as I carry with me traces of her

As the butterfly keeps flying in the paradise

The paradise of my heart and the garden of my soul

With the blooms; the beautiful.
